SONIC Drive-In - Custom Fonts

 Challenged with the quick service industry being saturated with promotions reflecting the same trends and designers using the same fonts. SONIC Drive-In needed to stand out, while remaining true to their Americana Drive In roots. In collaboration with the Type Designer Riley Cran. We designed two typefaces inspired by SONIC’s history, signage from the 1950s and a dash of timeless design. Insuring SONIC Drive-In’s would no longer battle having the same trending fonts that every other QSR was using each season.
